EUROPAH public engagement secondments

Those ESRs due for public engagement secondments can now sign up for the event at Folly Farm 18th  – 23rd March 2018.

If you are due to complete an industrial secondment at Graphic Science Ltd. during your time with EUROPAH you should sign up for the week-long course at Folly Farm, UK.

The week will consist of intensive development work on the two main public engagement projects in EUROPAH; website development and a submission for the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition. We will be supported by a professional graphic designer.  By the end of the week we aim to have a finished website online and a draft funding proposal with well developed plans and costings for the exhibition.  We will also be working on development of other relevant projects with the entire Graphic Science team.

ESR 16 (Laurene Cheilan) based at Graphic Science will be in attendance to introduce her work and to introduce the fieldwork in public engagement that will underpin her PhD research.

While we are all together I would also like to introduce you to the Centre for Doctoral Training at the Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies at the University of Bath.  Their PhD students have an amazing track record in public Engagement and they are very excited to meet up with you.  We can arrange lab visits and there is a movie night planned for Wednesday 21st March.  And yes, we will provide a pop corn machine and beer.
